The Diplomatic Academy, in partnership with Qatar University, concluded the public diplomacy program, which lasted for 5 days during the period from February 25 to 29, 2024. The program was presented by the former Iraqi Foreign Minister, Dr. Naji Sabry, with qualitative participation from the State of Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
The program included an important style of diplomacy that many countries had been practicing aspects of for decades, but it had become very popular in its current form and name since the mid-1960s. The program combined aspects of communication science applications such as advertising, public relations and mass communication, and from diplomacy, foreign policy and international relations.
He also informed the students about the development of diplomacy throughout history in our region and the world.
And on the conditions for launching the concepts of public diplomacy and soft power, and facilitating understanding the details of the aspects of public diplomacy and the mechanisms for its implementation.
Where participants learn about how a sample of countries in the world, including several major countries, apply public diplomacy, the circumstances that led to this practice, and the circumstances surrounding it.
At the conclusion of the program, the trainees receive a certificate of attendance from the Diplomatic Academy and Qatar University.
