The Diplomatic Academy, in partnership with the Katara Center for Public Diplomacy, concluded the International Negotiations and Diplomacy Program during the period from October 26 to 29, 2024. The program was presented by Counselor Rashid Al-Hajri, President of the Diplomatic Academy, with qualitative participation from the State of Qatar, the State of Palestine, and a number of employees of the Qatar Red Crescent. The International Negotiations and Diplomacy Program works to establish and refine the skills necessary for participants in negotiation processes by learning about the rules of negotiation, its elements, different negotiation strategies, bargaining skills, evaluating the negotiation process, assessing its strengths and weaknesses, and the ability to formulate arguments and evidence and direct questions in a format that combines the theoretical, cognitive and practical aspects. The trainee can then master a great deal of this skill that enables him to achieve what he aims for during negotiations in general and international negotiations in particular..
During the program, training was provided on a number of topics, including negotiation techniques, the art of settlement, mediation and conflict resolution, enhancing the skills of influence and persuasion, knowing the tools for preparing and coordinating negotiations, refining the skills of international meetings, managing them and speaking in them, improving the efficiency of negotiation management in dealing with complex issues and enhancing constructive participation in order to achieve progress and reach decisions and goals.
Mrs. Maryam Al Saad and Counselor Rashid Al Hajri participated in delivering the certificates of completion of the program accredited by the Diplomatic Academy and the Katara Center for Public Diplomacy.
