The Diplomatic Academy, in partnership with Qatar University, concluded the three-day Political Analysis Program, which ran from April 22 to 24, 2025. The program was presented by former Sudanese Foreign Minister Professor Dr. Mustafa Osman Al-Amin, with distinguished participation from the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Yemen, the Democratic Republic of Sudan, the Lebanese Republic, a diplomat from the Guinean Embassy, and a representative from the United Nations Office in Qatar.
• The program addressed the concepts and foundations of political analysis, defining political analysis and its importance, methods and theories for understanding politics, sources of information, analyzing political discourse, methodologies and techniques of political analysis, analyzing contemporary political crises – tools and applications, forecasting the political future – scenario building, and decision-making.
Students were also provided with theoretical information supported by evidence and examples on analyzing the course of events. Students were also assigned various assignments and tasks to build the foundations for political analysis. • With practical applications and exercises, such as analyzing the Cold War from a realist theoretical perspective and a group application exercise to build future scenarios for a contemporary crisis.
At the conclusion of the program, trainees receive a certificate of attendance from the #Diplomatic_Academy and #Qatar_University.
